Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and Second Principle Labs Private Limited, 502 Seashell Apartments, Greenfields Complex, A. B. Nair Road, Juhu, Mumbai 400049, India ("Cotton", "we") for using the Cotton Chrome extension, the website heycotton.app and the services behind them. By using Cotton you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Cotton.
Your account
You need an account to use Cotton, and you need to be at least 16. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@heycotton.app if you think someone else has used it.
What Cotton does, and what it can't promise
Cotton reads the page you're on and helps you with it, using AI. AI can be wrong. Cotton may miss something, misread a page or give an answer that isn't right, so check anything important (money, health, legal or safety matters) yourself before you act on it. Cotton is a helper, not professional advice.
Plans and credits
- New accounts get free credits to start. After that, Cotton is paid by plan, monthly or yearly, and each plan comes with a number of credits a month. What each thing uses is shown in Cotton as you go.
- Payments are taken by Stripe. Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your plan page; you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
- For a yearly plan, we remind you by email before it renews.
- If something went wrong with a charge, write to us and we'll put it right. Where the law in your country gives you a right to cancel and get a refund, you have it.
- If we change prices, we'll tell you before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
Your content
What you put into Cotton, and what Cotton makes for you, is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Cotton for you, as the privacy policy describes. We don't claim ownership of it and don't use it for anything else.
Using Cotton fairly
Don't use Cotton to break the law or anyone's rights, to harm or harass people, to send spam, to get into accounts or systems you're not allowed into, or to overload or attack Cotton or any website. Respect the terms of the websites you use Cotton on. We may suspend an account that does these things, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
Changes and availability
Cotton changes often. We may add, change or remove features. We try to keep it running all the time, but can't promise it never stops. If we make a change to these terms that matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
Ending
You can stop using Cotton and delete your account at any time (Settings → Your account → Delete my account). If we ever close Cotton, we'll tell you in advance and give you time to keep what you need.
Liability
Cotton is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
